200 tonnes of fresh play sand has now been delivered to Sykes Lane Beach at Rutland Water, and the beach is now available again. Truckloads arrived since yesterday morning, and then was flattened down by diggers and by hand. The beach re-opened late this morning. Rutland Water say they could only top up the sand once the water level in the Reservoir had dropped back a little.
