Uppingham in Bloom has achieved gold again in the East Midlands in Bloom awards, and this time topped the small town category with the most number of points.
Uppingham in Bloom formed in 1983 after three traders decided to add flowers outside their premises. An official committee was formed in 1988, and they began entering the annual competition.
The awards were announced yesterday afternoon at Ockbrook in Derbyshire.
