A week before Oakham’s Christmas light switch on
the artificial tree is already in position this weekend. Attractions for next Sunday at the marketplace include a stilt walker, fire performer, Filbert the Fox and Sing Out Rutland. Rutland and Stamford Sound will also be there through the afternoon. The event, organised by Oakham Town Council, on the 23rd of November, runs from midday with the light switch on at 4:30, where a child has won the chance to push the plunger.
