The Rural Community Council continue their visits to Rutland communities as part of the Lottery funded Changing Connections project.

‘So we are a bit of a later start in the morning so we can let the pilates and yoga people finish up. But we're here from 11:00am serving coffee and we've got lots of information, lots of friendly faces. So if you want to pop along’.

That's Ruth Taylor from the project. They are outside Seaton Village Hall from 11:00am until 12:00pm and Barrowden Community Hub from 12:30am till 2pm, helping to connect rural communities with services and support, as well as offering a free hot drink. They've also announced a new project with Age UK, which will take place on the first Monday of the month from October in the Johnson Road Community Room in Uppingham where a guest speaker will feature called Tea and Topics. The session will run once a month from Monday the 6th of October between 2:00pm and 3:30pm. The first will feature a talk on fraud prevention.
