An organisation that encourages women to be Conservative MPs has been speaking in Uppingham.
Women2Win was founded in 2005 by Baroness Jenkin and Theresa May. They're both still involved. The organisation supported Alicia Kearns to become Rutland's MP and has more recently helped Leicester East MP Shivani Raja, who took her seat from Labour in the last election. Baroness Jenkin says they've made good progress, managing to more than double the amount of Conservative female MPs since they started.
"So Alicia is somebody that I've worked with for a number of years as we have done with many women. We're there to ask them to stand, to support them through the process, to encourage them and hopefully support them, like we will do with Shivani and the other new ones, to thrive when they actually get to Westminster because it's a challenging environment and not for everybody."
