Peterborough United could not make it three league wins on the bounce as they lost 3-0 at home to Lincoln City in League One.
The Daniels are just 90 minutes away from the FA Cup First Round Proper after they won 1-0 away against ten-man Sutton Coldfield Town in the Third Round Qualifying. The hosts went down to ten in the second half after a handball in the penalty area. Kai Tonge scoring from the spot to make it four games in a row he has scored. Draw for the next round is on Monday.
Moving to the Premier Division of the Peterborough and District League and Uppingham Town and Stamford Bels made it two wins on the bounce. Uppingham Town beat visitors Chatteris Town 2-1 thanks to a Sam Blackwell double and Stamford Bells won at home against bottom side Whaplode Drove Rovers 1-0, Luke Cramp with the goal.
Oakham United ended a run of four league defeats beating Whittlesey Athletic Reserves at home 2-1. Kyul Thurley and Charlie Willis with his tenth goal of the season.
Deeping Rangers Reserves have suffered back-to-back defeats losing 3-1 at Crowland Town.
To Division 1 and Daniels Reserves are back up to 2nd following their 3-2 win at Wittering. Dan Aust, Adam Steels and Aston Taylor with the goals.
Bourne Town went down 2-0 at St Neots Town in the Northern Premier League Midlands Division.
To the United Counties Premier Division North and Blackstones avoided three defeats in a row with a 2-1 victory at home over AFC Mansfield who had a player sent off on 54 minutes. Nathan Rudman penalty and Kieran Duffy-Weekes the scorers, whilst Deeping Rangers drew 0-0 at home against Belper United.
Cottesmore drew 1-1 with FC Khalsa in the Everards Brewery Premier Division. Steve Jucikas had given them the lead. The visitors then had a player sent off on 40 minutes. It was all square on 48 minutes. FC Khalsa ended the game with nine with a second sending off on 70 minutes.
Women’s Football
Oakham United made it two wins on the bounce in the Leicestershire Women’s League Division 1 as they won 4-1 against visitors Loughborough Foxes Sapphires. A result that sees them go top. For the second week running, Zina Cheikh with four goals.
Cambridgeshire Women’s League Division 1 and Deeping Rangers have suffered back-to-back league defeats losing 5-3 away at Wimblington.
