Whichever vaccine you’re offered, please take it. That’s the message from the Rutland Vaccination Centre at Catmose. As of 8 March over 13,000 Rutland Health patients had received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccination, and those who were first in the process back in December were being offered their second dose.
Rutland GP at the vaccination centre at Catmose, Dr Lucy Pearson, said they are making great progress, thanks to immense support from the local community. Nearly one third of Rutland residents had received their first dose, including 95% of people over 75, 89% aged 70 to 74 and 77% of those aged 65 to 69. In addition, 800 health and care staff had received their first dose. Dr Lucy Pearson urged people to take whichever vaccine they are offered and to talk over any concerns with their own doctor.
