   A protest against the proposed expansion of Leicester's boundary is taking place at lunchtime today outside County Hall in Leicester, led by Leicestershire and Rutland's Conservatives against the government and the Labour-controlled city council.

• Poacher International Jamboree

  This week at the Lincolnshire Showground in the annual Poacher International Jamboree, there are over 10,700 people at the camp in total, including over 3000 volunteers and scouts and guides from 20 nations.

   A drugs dog has been visiting pubs in East Northants to identify anyone carrying illegal substances in licensed premises.

  A hand cyclist from Harringworth has finished a charity ride from Land's End to John O'Groats for the Motor Neurone Disease Association and has raised £40,000 so far.
