A free event near Exton tonight hopes to help people of all ages and backgrounds listen to their inner self to aid their personal development.
It's the brainchild of coach Melanie Pledger, who along with a group of other local people has formed Reigniting Rutland, a foundation that is being formed to help those who wouldn't otherwise be able to afford the programme. It's being launched at the Barnsdale Hotel between 7 and 9pm tonight at a free event open to everyone. Melanie feels we all have the ability to change within us:
"We all have our dreams. As children we certainly all had dreams and many of us lose them over time and they're still there. So many people are living a life that they don't really love, are living a life where they feel stressed or anxious. or that they don't fit in, all sorts of reasons.
So, the whole point of DNA Light Up is to bring people back to who we are, to confidence, to curiosity, to feeling so complete that nobody and nothing else is a threat. So, therefore, the impact of that is connection, and community, and kindness, and all these things that we talk about that comes in very naturally when we all have a sense of confidence in who we are."
