Rutland County Council is urging us to recycle our Halloween waste responsibly.
Flesh and seeds from a pumpkin are edible and can be used in soups, stews or roasted as snacks. Any leftover bits can go in your home compost bin if you cut it up and put it in your garden. You are being asked to raise it off the ground as it's harmful to hedgehogs. You are also being urged to recycle any decorations and costumes from Halloween and anything that can be recycled to use your grey bin.
