Crowds of cyclists lined up to have a go on the free street velodrome in Oakham Market Place on Monday 24 July.
It was for one day only and was paid for through various Rutland County Council funds. Chris Thomas from Active Rutland said it's been really well attended: "It's been successful actually. We've had a nice steady flow of people since about half 10. The weather curtailed us at the start, but since we've been open, it's been brilliant. Loads of kids had a go on this velodrome for the very first time experiencing something that they've never experienced before and overcoming some of their fears on a bike so yes, brilliant."
