Last night’s standing water in Stamford town centre has largely dissipated but the floodgates remain closed onto the Meadows this morning.
Bath Row was underwater for a time and roads turned into rivers at rush hour last night. Flood warning remains in place for the River Nene from Elton to Wansford. Flooding is also possible in the Lower Welland and Welland Valley. Businesses that were flooded are beginning their cleanup today. Sheepmarket dispensary in Stamford is closed after flooding. The surgery will be open as normal.
