Today is the first Dementia Friends session taking place in Oakham, organised by Rutland and Stamford's MP Alicia Kearns, as part of her great Dementia Conversation.
The one hour sessions give information on a range of activities to help people learn more about the condition and make the lives of those with dementia better. It's open to anyone of any age and information on how to sign up is on Alicia Kearns website. First session is being held in the Colonel Noel Suite at the Rutland County Museum at lunchtime today, with a session in Uppingham on Monday evening and one for businesses a week on Wednesday at Victoria Hall in Oakham at 6:00pm.
